Red Line Sulawesi Shrimp – Caridina striata is a lacustrine species endemic to the Malili lake system, Sulawesi, Indonesia. It is widely distributed in Lake Towuti, and found in fewer number in Lake Mahalona. Red Line Sulawesi Shrimp – Caridina striata is primarily red with striking white stripes (and a small number of white spots). The appendages are reddish and transparent, excluding the chelipeds which are bright white. The intensity of the shrimp’s colouration decreases when it is stressed.
